Do you have problems getting to the gym in the morning?
Everybody endures it at some point in their life.
It is quite normal to be burned out at some stage during your workout period.
But it is of utmost importance to be physically fit as a player especially when competing.
If you feel that you are burned out, take a rest for a few days.
Do not punish yourself too hard, being able to rest is an important part of your workout too.
Try to adjust your workout at certain intervals in a month or bi monthly, keep the blood flowing and keep your pump going.
I cannot stress out enough that you need to workout regularly to stay fit, do not lose your focus why you are doing what you are doing. It is very important to set your own goals.
Because without goals, what exactly are you trying to achieve?
It is as simple as waking up in the morning, setting a goal for yourself and doing it.
It really does sound easier than it really is and in the end it comes down to your own motivation and perseverance.
What really works is having a "gymbuddy" somebody to constantly motivate you and help you pick up the slack. Just as long as you focus on the general workout and don't waste time discussing the weekend.
We discussed earlier, that rest is an important part of your workout.
Another thing that is quite as imporant is pushing the extra mile, going past your limit.
Past your limit, but not breaking down.
It is a feeling you need to develop not to injure yourself.
I used to see plenty of beginners, just doing random exercises at the gym, not knowing what they were actually doing.
This is one way of causing self inflicted injuries that you would rather avoid dealing with.
Because who likes to limp on one leg anyway? Nobody does!
Besides your motivation, perseverance, focus and goals. There is another important factor to consider.
Food! Eating healthy is 70% part of your workout.
When your mother told you to eat your vegetables, you should have listened.
Eating healthy has numerous benefits to your health and immune system.
Right now I will not go into detail about it, Let's save it for another time.
